Seminar "Actual problems of analytical control of Materials in Metallurgy and Machine Building"
The seminar on actual problems of analytical control of materials in metallurgy and machine Building was held in Dnepropetrovsk, on March 21 and 22, 2007. The scientific and technical association of metallurgists of Ukraine was a host of the event. The seminar was attended by representatives of the industrial enterprises, the producers of analytical techniques and research institutes. The practical applications and development of the modern analytical equipment was discussed. During the workshop participants have considered the increased requirements for the product quality. The growing role and the expansion of use of modern analytical laboratories were emphasized. A number of reports were devoted to the experience of the implementation and application of the latest models of X-ray fluorescence spectrometers, ICP spectrometers, multipurpose diffractometers in the steel, cement and other industries. Representatives of the manufacturers have acquainted participants with the latest models of the equipment for metallographic, physical, mechanical and chemical testing of materials. Representatives of the Icon Steel company and JSC "Zaporizhstal" have reported about the experience use in the metallography lab of the first in Ukraine X-ray diffractometer DMAX produced by Japanese firm Rigaku. The examples of research of the phase composition of the basic materials: sinters, slag and insulating compounds, etc., defects and non-metallic inclusions in metals. |
